Biography
Lorelei is a communications specialist with 15 years of experience and ample online technical knowledge. She is skilled at technical writing, business writing, creative writing, Web content development, HTML hand-coding, graphics modification, desktop publishing (including newsletters, brochures, fliers, etc.), and editing.

She attended the University of Maryland University College where she was a member of the Tau Chapter of the Alpha Sigma Lambda Honors Society. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies in 2007, graduating Magna Cum Laude.

She is a current Graduate student at East Carolina University, majoring in English. After completion of this MA in 2011, she plans on pursuing a doctorate degree at North Carolina State University.

Professional positions she has held include Documents Specialist at a real estate software company, Product Manager at America Online in their Social Media division, and Technical Writer, Communications Specialist, and Escrow Manager at a title insurance company. She has also worked as an HTML Programmer with a Web publisher and as the Customer Service Manager at an online gaming company. Additionally, Lorelei holds a Virginia Building Technical Class B Contractors License, and is a licensed title insurance agent.

She has authored a technical self-help medical book, edited two programming books, designed and programmed an in-depth title insurance technical knowledgebase, and created and continues to maintain an award-winning support forum for those diagnosed with a heart condition called Mitral Valve Prolapse.

Originally from Maryland, Lorelei now lives in Raleigh, North Carolina, with her husband, son, and a spoiled Chihuahua. Her personal interests include reading, hiking, photography, and traveling to places that have lots of palm trees.
